Centre for Victorian Studies Colloquium 2026 – ‘New Directions in Nineteenth-Century Studies’

Join us for this interdisciplinary one-day colloquium bringing together researchers at all career stages to explore new horizons in Victorian Studies. The programme features lightning talks, posters, creative work showcases, a public engagement session at the RHUL Library archive, and a roundtable on ‘Global and Decolonial Victorian Pedagogy’. Participants will have the opportunity to share research, engage in discussion, and connect with colleagues in a supportive and collaborative environment. The day will conclude with the annual Sally Ledger Memorial Lecture, delivered by Dr Jacob Jewusiak (Newcastle University), titled ‘The Age of Consent’. The colloquium offers a stimulating forum for those interested in nineteenth-century studies and interdisciplinary research.
