Detailed Description

This is a week-long workshop on journalism and social justice for students of LSS that will take place on the Egham campus on 2-6 June. The workshop will be led by Dan Trilling, who is an award-winning journalist, editor and author based in London.   To understand what social justice journalism is and the type of material you will likely produce in the workshop, please have a look at Dan’s work: https://danieltrilling.co.uk   The workshop will train students to produce journalistic op-eds and features, researching and understanding the business of journalism and adjacent areas of professional writing (NGOs, advocacy, campaign) in the context of social justice and set around a project of your choosing.
